Because

This movie is probably racist, sexist, and homophobic. And I'm gonna talk about it, even though it's not remotely current.

Self-Care, Punching, and Donnie Yen

Donnie Yen (as Ip Man): has a certain solemn badassery
So apparently self-care from writing a treatise about I Spit on Your Grave involved watching Donnie Yen punch many, many Nazis and other assorted occupying forces. I watched him punch dojos full of people, and I enjoyed it very much. Refer to my sexy, sexy twitter for glib, minimalist rants about the assortment of movies and film I come across that I do not take to task in articles. I might even refer to things that recently came out, like when I bugged my theater-loving pal into take me to see Looper the week it came out.

Anyway, I promise something trigger alert-worthy soon. In the meantime, you can check out Dr. Chris, who is kind. http://radioofhorror.wordpress.com/

This is not a forum for the debating of the existence of sexism, homophobia, racism, classism, transphobia, ableism, or any of the other major forms of intersecting oppressions. OMG, THERE ARE SO MANY OTHER PLACES YOU CAN DO THAT!

Also, disagree with me and each other all you like! I love that! If you noticed I said something fucked up about oppression, or if your expertise in your own oppression gives you a better view, and if you are feeling generous enough to share that with me!? I embrace that!

Just be respectful. No name calling, No verbally attacking people. Please, my three readers and twenty-five spambots have feelings too, you know.
